I guess toast since it won't fall apart in your coffee or milk or orange juice like a buscuit will. I personally prefer saltines to dunk in my milk. Doughnuts for my coffee. Buscuits for my gravy. Toast for my jelly. Coffee cake is good for coffee too especially if it's a few days old and kinda stale. But then that remeinds me of JW assemblies as a kid so I dont go there too often.
Do you really drink tea in the morning? Is that a rich person thing or do all Texans drink tea in the morning? The rich people in Missouri all own Krispy Kremes so tea is definately out. LOL

How do you handle JWs interacting with your children?
by Nosferatu inthis has been on my mind lately.
i'll probably end up having kids in the near future, and i would not want my mother preaching to my children.. so, i must ask, how do you handle your jw relatives who try to preach to your children?
how do you deal with a "gift" like my book of bs?

In Missouri we eat Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the a.m. w/our coffee 'cause they give free samples when you go in the store.

Where do we go for .....?
by RR inback in the old days, one could go down to 360 furman street and pick up wt literature, at a price.
then when it went to "donation" basis, you could still pick up literature, but you were limited.
i remember picking up the cd rom at the "book store".

If it really does violate their non-profit status (and I'm no attorney so some real research would have to be done) the Internal Revenue Service would be the best organization to contact. They love to audit religous groups who "cross the line." And, of course, I'm sure there's quite a few of us here who would love to see the IRS audit the WT Society one more time...lol

You raise an interesting point. If ignornace saves souls then the Jerkhovah's Wintesess need to stop preaching.
It reminds me of something blasphemous I often say about abortion when someone close to me thinks I need to hear "Jesus' point of view" on the subject. Orthadox Chrisitianity teaches that when a child is aborted he/she goes directly to heaven. So if that were true, why do the churches oppose abortion? Wouldn't it be better if we aborted EVERYONE and then no one would have to face judgement day because they would have bi-passed Adam's sinful inheritance from the get-go.
I'm being facetious of course, just in case anyone doesn't unsterstand tongue-in-cheek. -

Have you told your daughter how destructive the JW religion is? If you don't you may face losing her when she gets older -- if your mother sucks her into the LIE -- and I don't believe you want that to happen, do you?
When my kids ask about their grandparent's religion I openly tell them how they are repsonsible for the deaths of millions (blood issue), how they harbr criminals(child molestation), and how they destroy families (shunning), not to mention how they don't get to enjoy the holidays or birthdays like we do. I've even gone so far as to explain why they are a cult and what the characteristics of a cult is. The last thing I want is to lose my kids to those magazine peddling mindless zombies. -

At least there's a couple of us here who understand the mechanics of honest reality. No Opinions doesn't want to be painted with your wide paint brush and he definately doesnt like the blood red paint I bring to the table. Pretty soon he'll object to the brand of paint thinner we use. -

Thanks for the kind words Panda, and don't worry, I won't keep silent if there's something worth saying.
The one thing that sticks out (at least to me) about this old guy is how we are supposed to feel sorry for him now that he's alone. I'm sure it was tough for him to lose his wife, but suicide shows how deeply entrenched in the LIE they both must have been. And, I'm sure they didn't bat an eye when someone else was disfellowshipped, shunned, abused, or died as a result of the blood issue. I have a hard time feeling sorry for anyone who's hand gets bitten by the dog they've been feeding. -

I've just discovered something cuz I'm smart.
by gumby ini noticed the names on the page that shows the thread titles, thread author, and last poster, ( whatever that page is called) has some names starting with capital letters, and some not.
does changing our name on our profile page alter that?
i suppose i could try it and see if it works........ couldn't i now?.

Guys and or Gals, I don't see any smiley face. I see a lightbulb, a piece of paper icon, two thumbs, an "x", an "!", two balloons with "i" and "?", a green balloon with a "?", and a blue "i"......but no smiley face. Where is the smiley fae supposed to be? Maybe my brother the elder broke into my home and stole the darn thing!
